This wine is one of Pier’s bets, he has always dreamed of making our red wines differently from what is common in our area. Why? Because he does not like how they are made locally. Red wines from our area are usually lighter compared to other Italian red wines, so Pier has taken a very different approach.
This Cabernet Franc expresses the best of itself with an intense and unmistakable herbal scent. It is structured but at the same time very enjoyable. We love it with steaks, local salamis, and cheese, but some love it without food.

“I thought Loire and Chinon was the epicenter for Cabernet Franc. But then I tasted this cuvée from northern Italy. This was one step up! The typical varietal character was there, just a bit more marked. More concentrated fruit, which embraced the vegetal notes in a suggestive way. Total harmony, total balance. But too easy gone. ;-)”

When Pier and Reka organized a tasting of their wines at our house, their Cabernet Franc wine was my favourite: fruity, nice acidity, typical bell-pepper flavours, and a great companion with food (think: tomato sauce, green herbs).”
